Setting a livestream up to Microsoft Teams is easy using Momento<\/strong>Stream’s Custom RTMP feature!\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Create a Live Event in Teams<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Microsoft Teams’ help doc on creating a live event can be found directly on their support site\u00a0here<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Click the downward facing arrow next to\u00a0New Meeting<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

2. Set up your meeting, and click Next<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Under\u00a0How will you produce your live event?<\/strong>\u00a0Choose\u00a0Teams Encoder<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n

4. Click\u00a0Schedule<\/strong>. You will see a window that shows your event details. Scroll down to\u00a0RTMP In details<\/strong>\u00a0to retrieve the RTMP link, and key.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n

Connect StreamYard to Teams<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

1. Head to your\u00a0destinations tab<\/a>, click\u00a0Add a Destination<\/strong>, and then click\u00a0Custom\u00a0RTMP<\/strong>. Input the RTMP link from teams into the\u00a0URL<\/strong>\u00a0section, and the RTMP key in to the\u00a0Stream Key<\/strong>\u00a0section.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n

2. Add a Nickname of your choice, and click Add RTMP server<\/strong>. Now, this meeting is added as a destination in Streamyard! Note: Each new live event created in teams will have it’s own RTMP details. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Head to your\u00a0Sessions tab<\/a>, and click\u00a0Create<\/strong>\u00a0a studio with the newly created Teams RTMP destination. You will use this studio when you are ready to go live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Go Live to Teams<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

1. When you are ready to start your live event, head to the meeting on Teams and click\u00a0Join<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n

2. After you’ve joined and see the following alert, you can start streaming from Momento<\/strong>Stream:<\/p>\n\n\n

3. Head over to Momento<\/strong>Stream, enter your session studio, and click\u00a0Go Live<\/strong>\u00a0in the upper right hand corner to start sending your live video feed to Teams.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n

4. Once you start streaming from Momento<\/strong>Stream, you should see the preview of the video feed in\u00a0Encoder preview<\/strong>, called\u00a0Custom RTMP<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n

4. Select the\u00a0Custom RTMP<\/strong>\u00a0feed to see it appear in the queue section of the Event Stage. If you’re ready to send the feed, select\u00a0Send live<\/strong>. You’ll then be able to start the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. To end the event, click\u00a0End event<\/strong>. Then, head back over to Momento<\/strong>Stream, and click\u00a0End Broadcast<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FAQ<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Can I receive the live chat\/comments from Teams in MomentoStream?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

No. When streaming using the Custom RTMP feature, you will not be able to receive comments in the Momento<\/strong>Stream studio.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can I use the same RTMP destination for each new Teams Event?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

No. Each Teams Live Event will have it’s own unique Stream Key and URL. You can edit your existing RTMP destination, or create a new one to stream to a new Teams Event. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
